Holden aims to leave a lasting impression on the Australian community before their factory closes by auctioning three of their sold-out limited-edition cars. Sweet deal, right?

On October 15 at 3:00 pm the auction will be conducted by Manheim as a part of the Holden Dream Cruise celebrations. It will be held at the My Money House Oval in Elizabeth, South Australia.

Limited-Edition Units for Auction

Organizers hope to raise enough money from the auction and donate it to charity. The Smith Family Foundation that helps children from disadvantaged families and The Lighthouse Foundation that supports homeless youths will be the ones to receive the proceeds. Bidders can choose from one ute and two sedans. Both sedans have the build number 5 as a nod to one of the country’s most successful motor racers, Peter Brock.

The Magnum

The only ute in the line-up is a powerhouse of features. The model comes with an exclusive rear-suspension set up called the FE3, the manufacturer’s best ever. It is fitted with Brembo brakes that are 3 kg lighter than most. The Magnum has a 6.2 LS3 V8 engine and buyers can pick between a manual and an automatic 6-speed transmission.

It has a hard tonneau cover and magnum graphics on the body. The unit has staggered tires and the front measures 20” x 8.5” while the rear is 20” x 9.0” and are both forged alloy wheels fitted with high-quality Bridgestone tyres. It also comes with a tyre pressure monitoring system that would help prevent issues in the future.

The Director

The Director houses a 6.2-litre LS3 V8 petrol engine with a power of 304kW and torque of 570Nm from its six-speed automatic transmission. For a smoother ride, the car has Magnetic Ride Control, a driving mode system from Holden and a Brembo braking package.

The Phantom Black roof, bonnet vents and 20-inch alloy wheels with gorgeous staggered tires complete the Director’s elegant look. Inside, it has heated front seats and paddle shifters for drivers that want to have more control. Built under Calais V specifications, it delivers both impressive speed and comfort.

The Motorsport

This unit comes with a modified cooling package, cross drilled brakes from Brembo, multi-mode Magnetic Ride Control suspension, and a high rate rear sub-frame bush. There is a choice between a 6-speed manual or a 6-speed automatic transmission with active select. The engine is a 6.2L LS3 V8.

The Motorsport’s black rear lip spoiler, 20-inch red-lined alloy wheels, motorsport graphics and black phantom roof gives it a sporty look. The interior has a console mounted driver control, an 8-way power adjustable heated front seats with an exclusive trim.
